Short version. Pharos stores the email address you sign in with, the alert rules you create, your favourites and a push token for your device. It does not track you across other apps or websites, does not sell data, and has no access to your exchange account or your money. You can delete everything from inside the app.
Who is responsible
Pharos Trade operates the Pharos iPhone app and this website. For anything on this page, including access and deletion requests, write to pharos@pharostrade.pro.
What we collect, and why
- Email address — it is the account. We use it to send the sign-in code and, rarely, a service message such as a change to these terms. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
- Alert rules, favourites and app settings — they have to live on the server, because rules are evaluated there so that notifications work with the app closed. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
- Push token — an anonymous identifier issued by Apple that lets us deliver a notification to your device. It is not tied to your identity by Apple and is discarded when you sign out.
- Technical request data — IP address, app version, device model and iOS version, kept in server logs for a short period so we can find faults and block abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Subscription status — whether an active subscription exists, and which plan. This comes from Apple. We never receive your card number, billing address or Apple Account password.
What we do not collect
- Exchange API keys, balances, positions or trades. Pharos reads public market data only.
- Contacts, photos, precise location, microphone or camera.
- Advertising identifiers. There is no advertising SDK in the app and no cross-app tracking.
- Payment details. Apple handles payment end to end.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of processors to run the service: hosting for the API and database, Apple’s Push Notification service for delivery, Apple for subscription management, and an email provider to send sign-in codes. Each receives only what it needs to do that job. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
We disclose data to authorities only where a valid legal obligation applies, and only the data actually requested.
How long we keep it
Account data — email, rules, favourites — is kept while the account exists and is erased when you delete it. Server logs are retained briefly and then rotated out. Records we are required to keep for tax or accounting purposes are kept for the period the law requires and nothing longer.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to processing, receive it in a portable format, and complain to your national supervisory authority. Residents of California and several other US states have comparable rights, including the right to know and the right to delete; we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
To exercise any of them, write to pharos@pharostrade.pro from the address on the account. Deletion is faster from inside the app — see deleting your account.
Children
Pharos is not directed at children and is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
Transfers
Our infrastructure may process data outside your country. Where that involves a transfer out of the EEA or the UK, it is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Security
Traffic runs over TLS. Sign-in tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain on the device and are revocable from the server. There is no password to leak, because there is no password. No system is perfect — if you find a weakness, write to us before publishing it and we will work with you.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top of the page always reflects the current version.
